Every great home has a story. Ours begins with a father, a son, and a shared passion for building.

Simon's construction journey began in the former Soviet Union, where he worked as an electrical engineer on large commercial developments. When the opportunity arose, he moved his family to the United States in pursuit of the American dream. Here, he built a successful career in Information Technology and Computer Engineering, but his passion for construction and homebuilding never faded.

Over the years, Simon designed, built, and remodeled several homes while helping countless friends and family members transform theirs. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he earned a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and quality that stood the test of time.

Although Max never received formal construction training, he shared his father's passion for creating. With a natural eye for design and an engineer's mindset for solving problems, he became fascinated by the idea that a home could be beautiful, highly functional, and remarkably efficient all at once. Rather than simply making homes bigger, Max focused on making them smarter.

When Simon retired, he decided it was finally time to pursue the dream he had carried for decades: building custom homes. Max eagerly joined him, and Simax Homes was born.

Since then, Simax Homes has completed numerous homes throughout Louisville, including several thoughtfully designed homes in the Smoketown and Shelby Park neighborhoods. These projects became the foundation of the company's design philosophy: every square foot should have a purpose. Carefully planned layouts, abundant natural light, generous storage, flexible living spaces, and clean modern architecture allow each home to live far larger than its footprint suggests. By eliminating wasted space instead of sacrificing comfort, Simax Homes has helped create exceptional entry-level homes that give first-time buyers the opportunity to own a home that feels custom built without the custom-home price tag.

In 2019, Simax Homes proudly showcased its work at the prestigious Homearama with The Belgian Cottage, a distinctive European-inspired interpretation of a transitional home. The home drew significant attention and reinforced what had already become the companys guiding principle: timeless architecture, intelligent design, and craftsmanship that never goes out of style.

Today, Simax Homes continues to build with one simple belief: great homes aren't defined by their size or their price tag. They're defined by how thoughtfully they're designed, how well they're built, and how they enrich the lives of the people who call them home.
